Splines & Shaft

Splines:

Internal and external splines are just another of our many types of products produced.

Involute and straight sided splines as well as serrations, can be produced by hobbing, shaping, broaching, and rolling.

Both internal and external splines can be cut using our CNC gear cutting machines, including internal or external helical splines. Hobbed splines can be made in lengths up to 40", depending on the diameter. Shorter splines can be cut up to 36" in diameter, either internals with up to 9" face length, or externals with longer lengths. For external, the exact length depends on the diameter of the spline and the configuration of the overall part.

Advantages of Helical Gear transmission over Spur gear transmission:

1. Helical gear transmission gives comparatively noiseless motion at higher surface speeds.
2. Helical gear transmission gives comparatively smooth transmission at small gears with fewer teeth at large transmission ratio up to 15: 1.

Shaft:

At AVIRAT Manufacturing, we produce custom shafts that can be used in a variety of different industries and applications. Our precision shafts at AVIRAT, are manufactured for each project's specifications. With our in-house machines we have the capability to mill, hob, turn, grind, and broach any shaft into a particular design.

Shafts can be paired with different parts AVIRAT produces, such as splines, sprockets, pulleys, and gearbox parts. At AVIRAT we have the ability to have shafts heat-treated to a specific hardness.

SHAFT DIMENSIONS:

AVIRAT Gears Manufacturing’s turning and grinding services allow for shafts to have a smooth surface finish of 16µin for turning and 2µin for grinding.

TIMING BELT PULLEYS

The timing belts and pulleys we manufacture help in the correct positioning of the molded teeth present in the belt along with the spaced grooves of the pulley. This action of the bet teeth trying to enter and leave the pulley grooves remains positive, offers smooth operations and is usually more silent than any other drive type. Our timing pulleys are made from superior quality ferrous and non-ferrous materials. These include steel and alloy materials, cast iron, stainless steel, and others. Our timing belt pulleys are not expensive and we keep the price factor in mind while manufacturing them.

We manufacturing Timing Belt Pulleys with the following specifications:

1. Diameter : 20mm to 1000mm

GEAR COUPLING

These distinctive Hub teeth are created using crowned tooth information on its three surfaces. It also has tip flanks and a root which gives the scope to cause enough contact at the tooth’s strongest area. This also helps in accommodating any shaft misalignment in the future. The gear coupling can be used to couple the motor to the flywheel, the flywheel to the gearbox, and many other properties which can enhance the efficiency. We manufacture Gear couplings and provide them to suppliers, exporters, and dealers in various parts of India along with maintaining the necessary quality standards. The products we create are certified, sturdy, reliable, and long-lasting.

SLEEVE GEAR COUPLING:

We also deal in providing top-quality Gear couplings that have been widely acclaimed for their strength, production styles, and price. Ring Gears

We are equipped with the capability of making Ring Gears through both the Broaching as well as Shaping route.

Other than that we are equipped with Shaping and Broaching machines and we can cut rings up to 500 dia. To support in Heat Treatment we have Plug Quenching for Carburized Ring and CNC Induction Hardening Machines for induction rings.

Bull Gears

Bull Gears are manufactured with an outer dia. up to 450 mm. These are either carburized or induction hardened as per customer specification. Quality grade is maintained up to DIN 9. We can cut up to 450 dia. and 8 modules. In the cutting section, we have CNC Hobbing and Shaving and have the capability to supply in din 8. We can make these bull gears using both the carburizing and induction route…

Bull Pinion Shaft

Bull Pinion Shafts are manufactured with an outer dia. up to 450 mm. These are either carburized or induction hardened as per customer specification. Quality grade is maintained up to DIN 9. We can cut up to 450 dia. and 8 modules. In the cutting section we have CNC Hobbing and Shaving and have capability to supply in din 8. We can make these Bull Pinion Shafts using both the carburising and induction route.

Speed Gears

Speed Gears are made up to 250 mm outer dia. module up to 5 and high range of accuracy up to DIN 7. Independent line to make Speed Gears. Cell concept and on line inspection and packaging to avoid transit dents. We are equipped to make Clutch Gears; Gears with Bush Fitting and cut up to 8 module. Can produce quality in din 7/8.

Planetary Gear

AVIRAT Gears produces custom simple and complex planetary gear systems manufactured to your specifications and requirements. At AVIRAT, we work with all three planetary gear structures; meshed-planet, stepped-planet and multi-stage. Custom helical internal rings can be included in any of our planetary gearhead systems.
